Whether a classic Mac or more aggressive looking trench coat, the jacket will often be the centrepiece of your outfit ideas, and possibly be the most worn item. Go for a military colour, and jackets with a belt give more flexibility to appearance. If you are small then the longer jacket will add inches to your height.

There are a number of excellent knitwear options available this season, however perhaps the biggest point of difference comes with a patterned cardigan. Polka dots are emerging as a tour de force in style for men, so look out for a cardigan with this pattern to add some flair to your outfit ideas.

No outfit ideas would be complete without footwear. The most versatile, fit for any occasion option currently in stores is the trusty deck shoe. Go for a navy option so you can pull off the relaxed or formal look, whatever the situation demands.
